214 Pin Microdimm - 1.8V - DDR2 - PC2-4200 (533Mhz)

DDR2 SDRAM supersedes the original DDR SDRAM specification. Unfortunately DDR2 is neither forward nor backward compatible with DDR or DDR3. DDR2 allows for higher bus speed but also requires lower power. It does this by running the internal clock at half the speed of the data bus. DDR2 memory chips also support on-die termination (ODT), which will allow certain motherboard ODT components to be integrated into the memory.

The introduction of these new 214pin Micro Dimm modules will further accelerate the manufacture of the lighter and smaller Sub-Notebooks, which have enhanced functionality and a longer battery life. 

Micro-DIMMs use a new 214-pin “mezzanine connector” technology, which reduces the size of the module by approximately 40 percent as compared with the current SO-DIMMs.
